Your responsibilities
EIT Health executes a portfolio of 100+ activities per year and is therefore seeking to appoint a Project Manager who will be reporting to the Head of Calls Coordination and Project Management Office.
The Project Management Office is part of the team under the Director of Operations, which is overseeing all operations across EIT Health.
The candidate must be comfortable interfacing with different stakeholders from other units and departments across the organisation, coordinating the management of activities part of the EIT Health portfolio.
The candidate should possess the ability to travel rarely across Europe, as the role may involve limited but necessary travel for meetings, or other business-related activities.
Portfolio Management:
- Proactively engage with teams (internally and/or externally) that are leading EIT Health activities and ensure timely reporting on progress, financial, and performance matters e.g. maintaining EIT Health KPIs, budget amendments etc.,
- Implement project monitoring and evaluation,
- Implement processes, including use and development of IT tools, that support activities teams and the EIT Health organisation to have full overview of project progress and performance,
- Propose mitigation/improvement action plans related to the set of activities under their responsibilities,
Data Analysis and reporting:
- Extract and analyse data and produce ad hoc dashboards and communication supports to allow portfolio management and results dissemination, both internally and externally,
- Support compiling the Business Plan and annual report of EIT Health,
- Report regularly to the Head of Project Management Office on the progress of the activities and interactions with any other unit,
- Provide ad hoc written activity reports,
Team Collaboration:
- Ensure seamless procedures between the Project Management Office and other functions e.g. Finance, Communications etc.,
- Contribute to shared tools, best practices, and portfolio-level initiatives within the Project Management Office team,
- Support the Head in any operational tasks linked to the Department development and improvement.
Your skills & knowledge
- Relevant academic degrees at Master level or higher and/or equivalent professional experience/qualifications,
- Validated experience working in international organisations, public sector, or healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements,
- Validated 3 years of experience in project management at EU level, involving grant management, multi-stakeholders’ engagement and budget management,
- Experienced in working on your own initiative, with a high level of autonomy, collaboratively, and cross-functionally across multiple teams,
- Comfortable in developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders internally,
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, strong presentation skills, particularly in writing and an ability to present complex issues,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed,
- Quality and result-focused, action-orientated, and knows how to juggle and progress multiple initiatives, whilst knowing how to prioritize key initiatives to meet the timelines set and manage stakeholder expectations related to these,
- Display professional levels of confidentiality and political savvy,
- Full professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
