We are seeking a driven technician (m/f/d) with proven hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, soldering, desoldering, wire harnesses, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic tasks. In this role, you will support and maintain existing products to ensure they remain fully operational and improve and develop new solutions for robust hardware.
Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.
Ensure that the robotics systems are ready to be used at all times
Create detailed documentation, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for testing rigs or needed components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integration
Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality control documentation, support and creation of SOPs
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanics and electronics issues during development and production phases
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in robotics and mechanical/electronics design
Perform assembly and disassembly of robots components, cables, and PCBs and other devices
Carry out soldering, desoldering, wiring, and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g. oscilloscope, signal analyzers)
Support procurement activities by identifying suitable products which meet requirements, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotations
Open to travel to China for business trips
The role involves significant travel (approximately 50%) to client sites
Work autonomously on open-ended, evolving tasks
