Service Technician (f/m/d)

81369 München Festanstellung Veröffentlicht: 02.07.2026

Your mission

Keep our robots running. Make our customers happy.

Robots couldn't handle soft materials. We fixed that. Now we're scaling it into reality, and we need hands on power to deploy and maintain our fleet in the field.

At sewts, we build the intelligence that lets robots manipulate deformable materials like textiles, towels, cables with human like precision. Our systems are already deployed in production across Europe and expanding into the US.

We are building a foundational technology stack called sewts.JUPITER. JUPITER uses genAI to realistically simulate the behavior of deformable and soft objects to create corresponding computer vision models and grabbing strategies. Based on our physical AI, for the first time ever, robots are enabled to handle soft and deformable materials.

With over €10M in funding, we will bring automation into all untapped industries, like cloth manufacturing, textiles handling, recycling and e commerce. This is where AI leaves the screen and enters the physical world. And in the physical world, nothing forgives you.

Your Role

As a Service Technician at sewts, you are the person who makes our systems work in the real world. You will travel to customer sites mainly in the DACH region to install, set up, and maintain our robotic machines, and when something goes wrong, you are the one who fixes it.

You are part of our Operations Team and will be a key link between our customers and our technical development teams in Munich. Your work on the ground is what keeps our customers happy and our technology running reliably. You will support our operations team by feeding field insights back into product development, and ensure our customers can rely on their systems every day.

What You Will Do

  • Installation & Commissioning: Setting up and commissioning our robotic systems at customer sites across Germany, Austria and France, ensuring smooth handovers and reliable first time operation.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Carrying out scheduled service checks and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, and software components to keep systems running and minimise downtime.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical faults onsite and remotely, working methodically through mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Internal Testing & QA: Supporting quality checks and system validation at our Munich facility before machines go out to customers.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keeping clear records of service activities and feeding findings back to our engineering team in Munich.
What You Bring
  • Educational background: A completed apprenticeship or technical degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field (e.g. Industriemechaniker, Mechatroniker, Elektromechaniker).
  • Hands on experience: Practical experience working with industrial machines or automated systems, ideally in a field service role.
  • Problem solving: A methodical approach to troubleshooting. You work through problems step by step and don't give up easily.
  • Technical confidence: Comfortable working with both mechanical components and basic electrical/electronic systems.
  • Customer presence: A reliable, professional manner when dealing with customers onsite.
  • Languages: Good German and English, written and spoken; our customers are international.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 50 to 60% of your working time.
  • Licence: A valid driver's licence (Class B).
Nice to Have
  • Experience with robots or automated production lines.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and software tools used in industrial settings.
  • Prior work in laundry, textile, logistics, or similar industries.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.

Why us?

What We Offer:

  • Stability with momentum: A permanent, full time, and unlimited contract with a fast growing tech company. Solid foundations, but never a dull day.

  • Competitive salary: Competitive compensation in line with your experience, with room to grow as we scale.
  • Mobility sorted: An opportunity to have a company car at your disposal and fully reimbursed travel expenses for all customer visits across Europe.
  • Your health matters: Subsidised eGym Wellpass membership so you can stay fit, even when travelling all over Europe.
  • A team worth working for: Direct communication, honest feedback, and colleagues who genuinely look out for each other.
